My baby was diagnosed with wheat allergies, but I was wondering if there are any other cereals that are wheat, but called something else... like bulgur and couscous are wheat, but I'm curious about tapioca and rye, especially. Anyone know? She does fine with oats and rice, but I'd like to add more diversity to her menu...

TIA!

Tapioca is fine. Rye contains gluten, but it may or may not cause a problem if your child is allergic to other proteins in wheat.

Buckwheat, amaranth, sorghum, corn, teff, millet, quinoa, tapioca . . . all fine.
