Just curious.

Happily, I'm off the hook for the cooking his year - we're going to a friend's place (one we can trust for safe eats).

Think I'll make a pumpkin pie, to take though; I'm so-o-o in the mood for pumpkin.

We're having:
Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, broccolli, carrots and parsnips, mashed potatoes and gravy.
Dessert is pumpkin pie and apple pie (found a Pillsbury pie crust that is milk free and will attempt to make a non-dairy whipped cream).
It's just the 3 of us so there will be tons of leftovers, but to me it just isn't Thanksgiving dinner without the spread.

Susan, I feel the need to unbutton a waistband just thinking about how full you guys are going to be.

I never mind turkey leftovers, have to say. I usually make a turkey stew or meat pies after the fact. The husband loves turkey; people are so odd about that rather inoffensive bird. They either love or hate turkey.

My Toronto neighbours are all talking about bbq-ed turkeys this weekend. It's so amazingly warm here.

It makes your mouthwater, eh?

I'm making turkey, roasted autumn vegetables (baby red, white and blue potatoes, sweet potatoes, parsnips, carrots and Brussels sprouts) with fresh herbs (basil, rosemary and thyme), cold bean salad, mixed greens Greek salad, a sauerkraut and pasta dish, and mini-corn muffins.

I'm cooking for 14! :)

I'm getting out of making dinner this year too. I did make a lemon pound cake to take and am thinking I still have time before we leave this morning to make real cranberry sauce.

This year I made my very first turkey! :D It turned out awesome. I made stuffing, veggies, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes (Alphaghetti's for youngest son), and gravy. I made an apple crisp for dessert.
