I know of two situations in BC where teaching assistants have been used to support children with milk allergies, so it is being done in tother parts of Canada.

Also, in BC, we have teaching assistants called "SEA's" or SSSW's", who are hired to work with kids with special needs. If you have similar people in other parts of Canada, they would be appropriate people to ask your principal for getting eating time support from.
