So tonight we had MIL, SIL and her three teenagers over for Easter dinner.
We had the whole ham thing and then, for dessert...oh, yeah, right..dessert..

So we made up a batch of NutriWhip (mostly edible oil-try not to think about it) and started to pull everything out of the cupboards. It turned into a make your own parfait type of thing and dd was thrilled!

Graham cracker crumbs mixed with the juice from maraschino cherries, cantaloupe, honey dew, banana and grapes, chocolate chips and marshmallows all topped and interspersed with this creamy soft topping.

In an old fashion glass so you can see the layers :)

Yum!

Best dessert and fun she's had in a long time!

We do a similar "dessert" especially in the summer when there is lots of fresh fruit around. We call it "fruit on a cloud."

Excellent idea - we will have to try that. My youngest loves fruit so he would like that.

Susan,

Is Nutriwhip safe for dairy allergic individuals? Do you know if it contains soy?

Thanks,
Fiona

I believe the lactose-free version is completely dairy-free. I'm pretty sure that soy is a main ingredient.

I tried to find an ingredients list online but could not. But here is some more info:

I'm afraid we used up the last package in the house. Because we aren't avoiding soy, I wasn't really reading for that allergen.

Sorry I'm not much more help.
