Does anyone else out there have anaphylaxis to fruit? If so, how are you able to stay healthy (weight wise) if you can't munch on fruit? I developed my allergy at 19 so even 6 years later I'm still adjusting.

Allergic to Apples, oranges, peaches, pears, plums, kiwi, cherry, nectarines...yeah it just keeps going.

I can eat melon, berries and bananas.

Thanks!
Tracey

I am allergic to every fruit except apples. Even then at times I am nervous about eating them.

I am still trying to find a foot hld in my allergy life. If I find one i'll let you know too.

I realize this was posted a couple months ago but I just wanted to jump in here and ask a question too about Ceasar Salad and lettuce. It seems to bother me somewhat but not as dramatically as other things I eat. Anyone else have troubles with lettuce and OAS?

P.S: I had a very bad anaphylactic reaction (my first) when I was eating a pomegranite in my mid twenties. I didn't have an epi-pen at the time or even really have an understanding of anyphilaxis but I took reactine right away and it helped - though I still had residual swelling over 24 hours later...

My daughter, at age 11, had the worst reaction her Allergist had ever seen to romaine lettuce on a skin test.

She is allergic to most fruits and vegetables but can eat some when highly processed - e.g., Fruit-to-Go's by Sun-Rype are pure fruit.
