Should mention that it was Lisa of Montreal's idea for Allergic Living to do a petition or something on this website. So thanks for the good idea, Lisa.

Now everyone - we're over 2,500 letters sent to the PM. As you know, we upped the target to 5,000 from 2,000, no doubt a little ambitious. But it would be fantastic to reach 3,000 letters.

If there is anyone with an interest in accommodating the food alllergy/celiac communities whom you haven't let know, please do. Another letter here, another there, is all it takes.

The AAIA has now added a link to the campaign from their site: http://www.aaia.ca/en/index.htm

Thanks AAIA and the webmaster!

Thanks for that Gwen. I am so excited to have passed the 2500 mark! I am going to ask my boss if I can put pamphlets out at work with all the information. I have several customers with food allergies and I am sure many others whom I have not yet discovered. The more we get, the better. :D

Yes, I have a couple of co-workers with food allergies who want to be included!

I am going to print them out a copy of the letter, thanks for the idea, Lisa!

The CSACI has also asked allergists to tell their patients to support the campaign.

Very good of Dr. Frankish, the CSACI's president, to do so.
That certainly should result in more letters.

Amazing!

My pamphlets are on the front counter at work in plain sight so hopefully I will get some takers :)

We keep climbing - 3,700.

FYI, for the news section of the Fall issue of the magazine, we'll try to get some answers from the gov't about whether the labeling regs. will move ahead - especially given this outpouring of support for them.

Awesome numbers, Gwen! I look forward to reading about the gov'ts reply to all this in the Fall issue.

I had been putting off sending a letter because for some reason I thought it would take a while and I kept meaning to "do it later". I finally went in and sent it yesterday and it only took a couple minutes! I then went and sent the link to all 98 people on my facebook friends list :)

That's great, Diana.

Thanks, and good thinking. Gwen
