Hi everyone,

As you probably notice I am new to the boad. My daughter is 18 months old and she has been dealing with a milk allergy for 5 days. We ended up taking her to the ER last night and just as I thought the culprit was milk. To make a long story short, tried her on 2% had a reaction switched her back to whole and now anything dairy is causing a reaction. So we are off dairy for a while then try to reintroduce then go see an allergist if this continues. Myself I am allergic to many things, penicillin, erythomycin, sulphur and pineapple. DH lucked out and has no allergies. I look foward to getting to know you all!

Lisa

Welcome!
I am relatively new here too and I'm finding it great to be able to talk to others about my daughter's allergies.
We found out she was allergic to milk (among many other things) when she was 10 months old. My daughter lost 5 pounds and was very sick. Now she is a healthy, happy 6 1/2 year old. She is a good weight and is the second tallest in her class. She loves soy everything and only occasionally asks what cheese and ice cream taste like.
Living with food allergies gets easier. Start educating yourself and others in your daughter's life and happy food label reading!

Welcome!

I'm glad you found your way here! It always helps to have support from people who have been there!

:)

Hi Payton's Mom,

Welcome. Re your:

Strongly suggest seeing your family doc if you think this might have been allergy. He/she might advise the reintroduction only in a medical setting - if it's thought to be an allergic episode.

What were the symptoms, if you don't mind me asking?
