Valentines is a month away. Is anyone doing anything special?
Our daughter is going to make her own Valentines to hand out because I have waaay too much craft stuff around. I think I'll see if she'd like to invite a friend or two for an afternoon of crafting followed by a tea party.

I'll send the teacher the heart shaped erasers I've picked up so that she doesn't go out and get anymore.

This year it's Batman Valentine's Cards for each of our son's classmates. It's a chance for him to practice his printing (he's 4) and keeps things focused on fun, not food. His school has a strict "no outside" food policy with occasions etc. which is fantastic. His teacher is really good about enforcing the rules as well. On the homefront we are going to bake and decorate cupcakes and celebrate with family. Looking forward to hearing what others are doing,
Keeley

If anyone is making homemade allergy-friendly chocolates or other treats - check out these lovely, downloadable wrappers (and directions):

I think I'm going to make sweet dough and instead of using it for a loaf of raisin bread I'll braid it and form a heart. Our daughter loves that kind of thing.........
.............I just realized this was on the school site not a general valentines idea chat :D, no bread hearts for the entire class, paper cards will do.

But any creative Easter ideas anyone?

When I sent my daughter to school yesterday, I packed a small package of Skittles in her lunch bag. I reminded her that if candies were handed out in class, she should ask her teacher if she could have something from her treats container instead.

She told me when she got home that 2 students had brought treats in to share and she did have something from her treats container instead. She seemed annoyed though, "I thought people aren't supposed to bring treats in!" Yes, but we can't always make others behave.

Course she's right....

At least nice to know she didn't feel any pressure to get in on sharing.
