I got a call today at 08:30 from my daughter's teacher to inform me that they would be serving hot chocolate this afternoon as part of Spirit Week's Play Day and asking if I planned on sending something in or should she give her a treat from the treat container.

Good thing dd's ill and not going to school today. 10 minutes before school starts is not much time to prepare something! I was toying with sending her in later (still catching up on her sleep after being at the hospital with her asthma Tuesday night until 04:00 Wednesday and then only sleeping 6 hours.

With 2 hours of play time most of which is out doors in -14C weather and hot chocolate being served to everyone as well...yeah, no, we'll pass. :?

Susan, I hope your daughter had a good jammie day and got some well needed rest.
Hopefully she's feeling better after having a rough week.
I'm sure you need to catch up on some sleep also so enjoy having a snuggle day. :D

Poor you guys. That's awful. Hope she's feeling better.

Tell her everybody here sends her e-flowers and smiles.

Re the school: can't they get in the habit of a little better planning than that? I mean you don't want kids to feel left out. Can't they shoot a fast e-mail, might be quicker than calling.
