Our family is travelling to Disneyland in April. We are a family of five and will be eating out for 10 days. Two out of my three kids are ana to tree nuts and peanuts. Any suggestions on places to eat outside the resort? I am a little aprehensive eating outside of the places I know at home.

Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Hi there,

I just got back from Disney World. They are great with Allergies. Ask to speak with the chef on each visit to a restaurant or just tell the waitress and she will know what to do. They are amazing there and will make you an allergen free meal. I only trusted the Disney restaurants and did not go outside the park to eat.

Thanks for the advice. I was wondering what we were going to do for meals outside the park, but since they are so accomodating it's best to eat there.

I strongly recommend you get a place with a kitchen so you can prepare most of your own meals, eating out is very stressful and expensive. I also suggest you bring any specialty foods with you like snacks, etc. Check out my article in allergic living about travel with allergies: http://www.allergicliving.com/features.asp?copy_id=142
