I have a friend who is going to Montreal and Quebec city on Tuesday for two weeks.
She has two teen girls and has asked me if I remember good things to do while there.
I have not been there in five years and it was a quick visit. (would like to return)
To anyone who knows these areas what would be places of interest.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :) :)

Here is a thread on a resturant in Montreals Latin Quarter
http://www.allergicliving.com/forum/vie ... php?t=4281

You can get deals to the BioDome, the Insectarium, the Botanical Garden and the Planetarium:

Check out the local tourism webpages for events occuring while they are visiting.

Oh, and there's always shopping! :D

Hey,
You should tell your friend to definitely go to Old Montreal. It has a lot of character, there's always something going on there plus there's shopping too. Yes, there is tons of shopping here. Do you know where they are staying?
There's a big shopping mall called Carrefour Laval or Rockland, those are really big and have tons of selection.
How old are her girls?
I can give you more info if you need.

Not sure where they are staying in Montreal but she did say something about being in Laval and thinking about going to the space center, also going to the bio dome. She may stay in old Montreal as I know she will be there she talked about the amphibian tour and wondered if that would be good. (I have another friend that did that and thought it was good) I understand there is some kind of fair called La rond??? If so is this at the old expo or olympic site?
Is it just about impossible to park in old Montreal should they use the train to get there??
There is also a water fall that I heard about that you can get to by boat, True??
I also heard that Modavie (sp?) and Briskits are good restaurants. (no allergies for them)
The girls are 13-15 ish. So I am sure they will like to shop a bit.

In Quebec they will be staying at hotel frontanac (sp?) sorry I do not know the spelling of any of these places. I told them I thought that was great from what I remember that was in the heart of Old town Quebec city.
Sorry I ask these Questions just before they leave, she just asked me last night. Thanks again for the input.
