Does anyone know where I can find egg and nut free chicken nuggets. The ones we have been buying for the last few years now have an egg warning on them.
I really dislike when companies change their ingredients!!

They're not nuggets, but we use the President's Choice Blue Menu Breaded Chicken Breast Fillets and they taste way better than any chicken finger I've had (well except for homemade ones).

I'll have to check those out. We were using the pc chicken strips but they now have an egg warning on them.

We've used Pinty's Chiken Nuggets in the past.

There are these ones http://www.iansnaturalfoods.com/allergen_free.html. Unfortunately for us, we have that stupid chicken allergy.

We found Pinty's at Costco, but they now have a warning for eggs. The PC chicken nuggets and strips also have milk and eggs in them. I just confirmed with PC though, that the PC Blue Menu Breaded Chicken Breast Fillets with Flaxseed are dairy, egg, and nut free. The rep actually explained the process which I thought was quite friendly. She said that they do their products in order every month. The first week they produce egg/dairy/nut free foods, sanitize equipment, 2nd week they process dairy containing meats, sanitize equipment, 3rd week they process egg containing meats, sanitize equipment, etc. So in the end, they are made on the same line as milk and eggs, but they do have a sterilization process in place. I think we will give them a try. These are the only ones I can find in the grocery stores so let's hope they work out.

I'm disappointed to hear about Pinty's.... we've used the Pinty's Chicken Breast Fillets - similar tasting to chicken nuggets, but not too many ingredients. I haven't bought them in awhile, so I'll have to check them out. I've been buying them at Walmart and they are in an orange box.

The other "breaded" chicken I've bought is the M&M Meats chicken grills. Last time I bought them, they were peanut, tree nut, egg, sesame free. Not sure what the status is recently.

just wondering if anyone knows a brand of bread crumbs that are dairy/egg free so I can bread my own, or any other thing I could use for breading. I'm having trouble finding these things in quebec for the most part (probably a language issue).

Cauger.. the only one I've found is the Kraft shake n' bake: http://www.kraftcanada.com/en/Products/ ... 6618804140

I use it sometimes, and other times I just make my own. Hope this helps.

Have you tried Gardein 7-Grain Crispy Tenders? These are vegan so no animal products. They say they are made in a peanut-free facility. These are not safe for those with soy allergies and they contain wheat.

I use a mix of parmesan cheese (finely grated) and bread crumbs I make from "safe" bread. I usually dip the chicken in yogurt for the liquid, then the bread crumb mixture.... then bake them.

ETA: so sorry... didn't even think as I posted this last night that they are full of dairy.. I'm sure you could use soy yogurt, or even soy milk for the liquid, and dip in breadcrumbs mixed with spices of your choice...

I bought the Pinty's Chicken Breast Fillets today, and there is still no listing of egg or may contain egg. :banana They are breaded, and they are very good! The only place I have seen these is at Walmart. Some of the Pinty's products have egg, but there is no indication of egg in these.

Here are the ingredients:

Chicken breast fillets, toasted wheat crumbs, water, yellow corn flour, wheat flour, corn starch, soy protein isolate, salt guar gum, spices, flavour. Partially fried in vegetable oil (canola and/or soy).

The only place I found Pinty's at was Costco. Walmart does not carry them in our area. But the ones at Costco clearly say that they may contain eggs. They are also the bulk size. Perhaps those are made in a different facility. I hope Walmart would start carrying those in our city.
