At school today a guest speaker was surprised that I did not put out almonds and timbits for everyone! I said we don't because of food allergies but thought to myself it was also because no one needs that right after breakfast

There is way too much food at school and work too. Why is considered unsociable if you don't want to eat?? :dungetit

MAybe we should put a note on agendas stating, "Due to allergies and sensitivities, we will be refraining from providing refreshments and will instead donate that portion of the budget to a local food bank." This would get the message out that one should eat prior to attending (and hopefuly wash their hands) and atthe same time be seen as a positive.

What do you think?

That's a good idea!

However, I know that in some schools the only way to get high participation is by providing food.
