Just in time for the holidays!

I spoke to a customer service rep at Dare yesterday and she confirmed that Dare still produces no candies in their facility that contain dairy. They will be removing the precautionary label "may contain milk" once they have used up their current packaging. She estimated this would happen in June of 2010.

Dare sells one candy product, RealFruit Fruits & Yogourt, which contains modified milk ingredients but this is produced by another company and purchased by Dare.

Well I heard back from Dare yesterday. It seems that the Toronto facility will change their candy labels to remove the precautionary label stating the products may contain milk as there is no milk used on those lines. The Milton facility will continue to label as may contain as they do plan to manufacture products on the same line in the next year or so.

I certainly hope that they can advise us as to when we can believe their label and when we can ignore it.
