My heart goes out to you. Their excuses do not make a great deal of sense. Autistic children are best served by caring patient people well-trained to deal with their circumstances. Not everyone just naturally knows the most appropriate ways to respond and help.

Your daughter will be better off with a daycare that is open and honest with you. You need to have a trusting relationship. Are playdates possible in the meantime with special little friends?

Do you have other daycare options?

Noha, Just catching up on your thread.
Sounds frustrating and certainly a heart-tugger when your dd is asking to go there.

Have you found alternative childcare arrangements? Wishing you well. Gwen

Gwen..

I have not found anything yet. However, I 'm in the process of setting up a session with yet another daycare that seems promising. This time, a nurse from the allergy clinic will accompany me, and someone from community services will be present as well. It's really a big step on behalf of the community services especially. Right now we are waiting to see if the parents will be on board to attend the session. Many of them send their kids with breakfast and ask that their child eat it at daycare. Normally, that would not be a problem but with most of them sending dairy, eggs, or peanuts, it could become a danger to my child. Since posting in this thread, I've met with several other daycares that were disappointments as well. I wrote about all that in detail on my site blog if you're interested in following up.

Thank you all for your support and for simply caring.

Noha
