I thnk that this needs to be shared with everyone! The Food Allergy Initiative did an amazing job!

Parents Speak about Their Children's Food Allergies
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-47w1JzlRE
This video features moving interviews with six parents who talk about the emotional and physical impact of food allergies on their families. We have received many requests from viewers who wanted to show it to friends, family, school staff, and other caregivers.

This video is excellent - thanks much for posting.

I hate to see the level of anxiety that food allergies still create for parents.

So much still to do on awareness.
The fears all relate to when child is in someone else's care.

I just sent this video in an e-mail to my school board trustee and to the Deputy Director of Education (who was responsible for developing the anaphylaxis policy. Ooh, ooh! I'm also going to send it to the manager responsible for the city run daycare centres!

I want to take the opportunity to present this video to you. It is well done and explains how parents of children with food allergies feel most of the time. I think it is a valuable tool in helping schools understand where we are coming from and I humbly suggest that you consider adding it to the arsenal of tools available during the annual training of staff re:anaphylaxis and how to administer auto-injectors.

This video had me weepy, but it really shows that numbers and statistics aren't as powerful as personal stories. I want to share it with my son's principal but am nervous about doing so - weird eh ?

jomatt you weren't alone in feeling weepy while watching this video. :huggy
I would forward it to your DS's school, I emailed it already to our daughter's school (21 anaphylactic students there). It might help for them to see this, it is a great overall glimpse into what an allergy parent deals with.
