I was wondering if anyone has had an allergic reaction to other people smeared in lotions/sunscreens which contain nut oils??? Almost every child sent to school right now is lathered in sunscreen as well as pretty much anyone else you encounter right now. Our school is nut/peanut free but I'm not sure if it has ever occured to them to request people read ingredients for sunscreens. With other lotions etc. containing nut oils I am concerned about the greasy trace left behind.

I haven't come across any children's sunblock that contains peanut/tree nut products. However, some lip balms (with and without sunscreen) do contain peanut oil :dungetit - thanks very much to a subscriber here - it's listed beginning with arachid-.

Sorry I couldn't be of any help!

I have heard that Aveeno sunscreen has sesame oil in it but have never checked it out.

On an aside note, I hate sunscreen. I have bought at least 5 different brands this summer alone looking for one that doesn't give my daughter a rash and the only one I have found costs $21 for a very small tube. Boo!
