DS has asked if I could find him safe doughnuts. Safeway use to carry some little powdered ones (I never bought them), but I see the ones they have now have a tree nut warning (we avoid those too due to cross contamination issues with the nuts). Are there any brands that are safe? I'd love to find some for him if possible. Thanks!

Annette's.

http://www.annettesdonuts.com/

Not sure if they are available outside Toronto or not as I don't know how big a company it is.

I am looking at a package right now but I have taken the label off. What can I read?? Purchased at Sobeys label says Concord bakery Peanut and nut free 6 oz pkg. Product of Canada manufactured by : DT Wholesale Bakers 280 Rayette Rd. Concord, ON 1-800-699-0724. I could read more than I thought. :banana
The ones I purchased are powdered sugar. very good. they also have chocolate covered and if my memory serves me glazed? and plain?

I do enjoy them. good luck

They have cupcakes too? We bought some of their cakes (a chocolate and a lemon) and fingers, which are similar to twinkies (bought chocolate and vanilla).

Reasonably priced, and really good. But, they didn't have donuts in the store.

What store did you find them at? We found them at NoFrills.

I am so going to Sobey's tonight. My kid really misses timbits. Donuts might work!

I forgot about this thread! I buy the little doughnuts at Sobeys, Walmart carries them too (under their own label) for $1 for a small pack. They are delicious. Little choc coated ones, and the crullers are faves here. PHEW.

Superstore has them too - as well as Boston Cream donuts.

I mentioned them to the school as well and they bought them instead of TimBits so that all the kids with nut or peanut allergies could have one too.
