Here's an article with video clip of a raccoon getting into the 'secure' green bins provided by the city. Sure as some comments say people shouldn't leave these bins out over night but most homes I see do. I mean, who can blame anyone, blue bins, green bins, black bins, leaf bags, garbage cans, if we leave everything in our garages then we'd need to leave the vehicles parked outside.
Of course what caught my eye in the article was the fact that food is being strewn about. Just what we all need, to have to disinfect our front lawns. It is bad enough on windy recycling days when peoples food containers (dirty) all blow down the street and I have to pick up empty peanut butter containers etc. from my front yard!!!! Now what, we all will have to deal with egg shells, moldy cheese, shrimp shells all over our yards. :frightened
