Hey everyone,
I know that lactase is the enzyme that breaks down milk sugar, but it has nothing to do with milk, right? Silly question... I know I should know this!

My naturopath gave me a digestive enzyme to try and it says it contains no milk and is vegan, so I obviously believe that lactase is dairy-free -butI am just wondering where it comes from. I googled it but don't understand the scientific stuff, really.
