People, we're working night (oh, look 1:50 already) and day to create the brand, spankin' greatest allergy, asthma, celiac site you've ever laid eyeballs on.

OK, I'm a little over caffeinated and sleep-deprived but, seriously, this will be something. :bouncyblue

One thing largely untouched: the Talking Allergies Forum. (We like it as it is!)

But scads of new allergy articles, we're writing and editing up a storm. Slideshows, videos.
Wait till you see the Recipes section!

This has been a huge learning curve, and the way we're setting this up, AL editors and writers can do more frequent updates.
A crazy amount of work and more expense than we'll admit to ourselves: but if this 2nd version of our site does its part to educate and lend as sense of community, it will all be worth it.

Official launch: Sept. 1. Pls. tell one and all once we're live.

Do bear with us in the early days - we'll be tweaking for a couple of weeks after the launch - but I really hope you like it.
Mark your calendars aft. of Sept. 1 ... visit the Homepage.

I'm glad you are keeping some articles on-line. I go to some sites that are not allergy related. sometimes an OT post about an allergy, celiac, or asthma is best answered with a link to one of your articles. I find it very convenient to have one place to go to look for the information.

Thanks AM - I'm glad that's useful. And this new site should provide you with even more helpful stuff, and it will be much easier to navigate.

Still hoping to go live with it late in the day tomorrow, but it will depend on whether all the subscription functions and other important bells and whistles are working.

Everyone here is working so hard and doing a fab job. Travis, who you'll recall as our computer genuis out in Van, hasn't slept in about 3 weeks and claims his 3-yr-old doesn't remember him :)

I'm so excited about this, can't wait to show everyone. :happydance

Folks - it's alive. :thumbsup

I think you'll find a lot here of interest - even in articles in left navigation bars.
Do check out our Section Fronts - you get to them by clicking on the green navigation bar.
We've done separate Section Fronts for all main food allergens - those you'll see in the "drop-down" from the green Food Allergy button.

So excited to have this up - if completely brain-dead from lack of sleep.

Now, you're going to see some articles are yet to come, some bad links.
We're working on those. Just not too much this weekend.

Some of us need - sleeeeeep.

WOW - WOW - WOW!! I really thought it would just be the old site but dressed up a little. I LOVE it and it appears to be set up amazingly well to find a topic or area quickly that interest you. It is like the best one stop shop for (factual) allergy info. I've seen.
Go to bed A.L. staff.....incredible. :banana :thanksign

Oh! Oh! Oh! I feel like Horshak (not really sure about the spelling, but if you are my age and remember " Welcome Back, Kotter" you know what I mean, and if you don't - well, it's happy at his childish best!!!!

I love to cook and just loved the recipe section (at a quick glance).

I can't hardly wait to get back to look at the whole thing more...

Thanks so much,
Michele

I LOVE how you can email straight from the site now. I also think the amount of information added to the site is unreal and remarkable. The breakdown on allergens, stats., asthma, meds, the printable action plan is great. The recipes, the news links, I didn't even know where to start. After all the oooing and aaawing my husband finally called over what the heck I was reading! :swing
I feel like a kid in a toy store and I'm not sure where to start. It will take me a week or so to play with 'all the new toys'.

Question. On the old magazine site you could click on a link to all articles. It listed by title all the articles ever in Allergic Living.
I'm trying to find one where a mom talks about how she feels the burden more so than her husband of dealing with her child's allergies. Then it talks about his perspective.
