Sometime ago I came across an asthma report card for schools and thought it was a great idea. I would like to make one up and send it to the letters to the editors at our local newspaper. It would be a great way to raise awareness and inform parents/public of what can keep children safe.
I'm going to tailor it to our provinces policy - and include a link back to the back to school resources here at allergic living.
I will post it as soon as I am finished but would love to hear any feedback or suggestions.

PS back to school and I've only had one nightmare (which means I am sleeping). The bad dream was that the teacher had been changed to a new person who would not attend training or meet with me. When I tried to talk to him he said he had his own food issues and wasn't getting involved ! Thank goodness it was just a dream !!!

Oh, lots to think about. Off the top of my head though, is annual training for everyone who works with kids and also check the 1st aid ratio to kids not workers and does said 1st aid include anaphylaxis??

And that horrible dream Jomatt? Probably that story from Big Poppa, I wonder how that situation is.

Michelle,

good point of the first aid training, I meant to look into that for childcare here too. I don't know the story from big poppa - will you fill me in ?

I would love to see schools hold anaphylaxis drills just as they do for fire drills.
I once saw an attendance sheet for annual training, it had a line for the name of the nurse/trainer (left blank)
It had a list for the names of those in attendance (blank) :?
Scrawled across the page was a message "all in attendance", no signature :banghead

I told the principal that my company was auditted every 2-3 years for policy compliance and that her form would not pass an audit! :verymad

Our kids should try answer a test like this:

Name: you have known it since September!
Then answer all questions: I know the answers, I just can't be bothered to write them down.
