I'm wondering if anyone knows of a brand of caramels that are nut & peanut free. We are going to the fall fair this weekend and I would like to make some caramel apples for my family to enjoy there.

Thanks!

We just bought a bag at Walmart from the Halloween section. It is the first time I've seen these. There are two sized bags, both made by REGAL Canada. They are those little squares where you peel the individual celo. wrappers. The only may contain is for suphites.
:happydance

Regal makes a lot of the peanut/tree nut/sesame safe treats.

YIPPIEE!!! Thanks so much! I'm not a big fan of Wal-Mart for various ethical reasons but I do go there for the nut-free candy. They always seem to have a much better selection of nut-free seasonal treats than other major retailers.

Now to figure out how to make candy apples!

To the kitchen!

REGAL makes safe candy canes as well as PEZZ, ROCKETS, these CREAMY CARAMELS, TOOTSIE ROLLS etc.. Our son has eaten Rockets and Pezz for a treat with no issue. Regal seems to be wonderful for labeling and putting on may contains.

=========================================================================
All Tootsie products are:

* Gluten-Free
* Peanut-Free
* Nut Product-Free

At this time, all of our confections are completely peanut, tree nut and nut product free. We have no peanut or tree nut products in any of our facilities.

Tootsie does not use wheat, barley, rye, oats, triticale, spelt, or any of their components, either as ingredients or as part of the manufacturing process.

Corn and soy products are used during the manufacturing process.

=================================================================
PEZZ
All the available ingredient information is listed on the packaging. Mono- & di- glycerides source is vegetable. To the best of our knowledge our product does not contain allergens as defined by Codex. The Codex list comes from the World Health Organization. It is a list of the “Big 8 Allergens”. It is the reference list that our suppliers use to answer allergen questions. PEZ is the only product we run on our lines. There is no chance of cross-contamination.

Following is a list of Codex allergens

* Barley, oats, wheat, triticale and products of these
* Crustaceans, shellfish, and products of these
* Egg and egg products
* Fish and fish products
* Legumes, peas, peanuts, soybeans and products of these
* Milk and milk products (lactose included), dairy
* Tree nuts, poppy seeds, sesame seeds and products of these
* Sulfites in concentrations of 10 ppm or more

None of the above listed items are used in the manufacturing of PEZ Candy.

PEZ Candy is tree nut, peanut & gluten free

Yellow dye #5 is in lemon flavored and multiflavored packs (due to lemon).

====================================================================
REGAL CANDY CANES
We carry High school musical, Hannah and Cars canes that are free of Peanuts........

All canes manufactured by Gold Seven do not include this kind of allergens (see below)

peanuts; tree nuts (almonds, Brazil nuts, cashews, hazelnuts [filberts], macadamia nuts, pecans, pinenuts, pistachios, walnuts); sesame seeds; milk; eggs; fish, crustaceans (e.g., crab, crayfish, lobster, shrimp) and shellfish (e.g., clams, mussels, oysters, scallops); soy; wheat , and sulphites.
