Lisa, the depth of caring gets better with age. It isn't a sacrifice-when your baby cries, it's like an electric charge that goes through your body. You have no choice but to react (men...not so much :roll: )

It takes all you have to sit on your hands and let your shild learn how to pick themselves up when the fall.

Once I became a mother, I realized that there is a special happiness that comes from being able to help someone and making their life just a little easier. As a young adult, I resented these offers of help-I wanted to prove I could do it. Now, I concede. I let my mother help me occasionally as I know how much pleasure it gives her.

It is wonderful that you acknowledge how much your parents did and that you appreciate it, though. It is that point in your relationship where you are becomming more than just parent/child...you are becomming friends. :mrgreen:
