I was just at the bakery and they are promoting chia bread??? What family of seeds/nuts are they in?? Has anyone out there been eating them??? If this is something I can't have I should probably be avoiding the whole bakery.

Hi Paige H, I google everything....so..... it's a seed, and it sprouts. Have you seen the chia pets? Anyhow, this is one of the "new superfoods". There has been quite a lot of talk in the last while about how good they are supposed to be, omega 3's and all that. I see your concern though. Do you eat other sprouts?

Michele

Thanks for the google info Michele. I don't remember eating any sprouts I may have many years ago I kind of remember sprouts being a thing people put in sandwiches. How sad I don't remember if I was one of those "people" :scratchy :freak I do hate always having to try something new to figure if it's o.k.

A member of my family used to work in a sprout place. We were introduced to all kinds, peas, broccoli. Those I remember cause I really liked the peas, but not the broc. I am not likely to buy them though. I prefer my veggies grown a little more, although we have owned a few chia pets and people over the years and have grown grass in the house for our four footed member. I hear you when you are trying something new. We've been testing out caramel colouring the last while. DD is very excited. It will open up a lot of foods that she has avoided since she was very young. Long story as to how we thought she might have had issues with it. Good luck to you.

Michele
