Here I am with my first question!

We are leaving in two weeks for Punta Cana for a family trip, including my 4 years old who is allergic to peanuts.
Do you have any tips for us? What to avoid, besides the dessert section which we won't touch?
The travel agent told me to talk with the rep. when we get there (we are travelling with SunWing).
Any experiences to share with me...

Thanks.
It is our first trip since we got the diagnosis.
