Talking Allergies

I'm looking for dairy free allergy tablets. My daughter is allergic to milk and is outgrowing her liquid medicine. Any ideas?

My son has a severe dairy allergy, and he tolerates both the chewable Benadryl, as well as the adult Benadryl & Reactine, both brand & generic. He was actually given the adult Benadryl to swallow during an acute reaction at the ER when he was 8 - first time I realized he could actually swallow pills. The only medication where milk protein might be an issue, to my knowledge (I'm a pharmacist) are the powder-based inhalers - Advair in particular. Lactose in medications does not appear to be an issue for those with milk-protein allergies.

Pharmacy grade lactose is 'suppose' to be OK but it is not recommended for those with anaphylaxis allergies to milk.

Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately I am too afraid to give my daughter any medication with lactose in it. She is anaphylactic. I'm relieved that lactose in these medications does not give reactions though. I'll look into it further.
