Good eye aa. :thumbsup
We need to let people know we are out here. With the allergic, family of allergic and friends of the allergic wearing a ribbon it would not take long and everyone would know what the ribbon with the dots on it represented. :bouncyblue :bouncygreen

Alberta that is funny. :rofl I forgot that Allergic Living (until last year) used a big polka dot on the front cover. Call it a symbol or a sign...lets roll with it ladies. Dark teal polka dots on a light teal ribbon (or vice versa)? I'm in!

Allergic Living should get them to advertise on the forum so they get credit for all of our purchases!

That is almost eerie that members agreed on teal before seeing that. Great find BC2007!!

Teal it is!! How do we get word out to the other allergy sites that we, (I won't call us pushy but assertive decision making mom's) have decided upon a colour. I mean, others can do their own thing if they want but I bet most others would be on board if we get the ball rolling. Are we allowed to go onto the blogs /face book sites and say this is what we are doing if others' want to join us?

I actually sent an email to a Canadian company to see if they would consider making allergy awareness t-shirts with a teal ribbon. The more on the market the more people who will find them/buy them/wear them. :thumbsup I'm ALL FOR allergy awareness.

ps. Alberta, if I see someone on the news wearing that allergy advocate (shield) t-shirt I'll know it's you. :rofl

Responding to the part I bolded.

Most blogs and allergy fb pages, people wouldn't object to something about this being posted. also, other allergy forums. It's also acceptable to post that it started at ALlergic Living (with or without a link). as long as you don't swamp a page with posts most sites welcome information.

I help run the FAS facebook page. If someone wants to write something up I can post it there. (I have the page set so that only posts from Admin. Go through to everyone...it helps prevent SPAM from posting on everyone's wall.)

FYI...if I don't get this done today, it might be on hold for a few days. I'm getting surgery tomorrow, and I'm not sure when I'll get back on-line.

One other idea.....Motion 546 is to be read again in the House (in April or May?). any chance of getting one of these ribbons to the MP that presented it? It would be his choice whether or not to wear it....but I think ribbons are allowed.
