This thread is just so weird...the more I learn the more I need to learn.....I don't understand why we allow this....FOOD AND DRUGS AND ALCOHOL....IN OUR BODIES!!!!!! How hard can this be to let us know what is going into what we are consuming! It's bad enough that we can't control all the crap that's in our water, air and ground let alone our food and liquid intake. Health care costs are mostly taken up by what we should have control over on a very personal basis.....take a look around....diabietes, heart, cancer these are the things that are take a huge toll on all our "health care systems" but from what I saw travelling, mostly people are not concerned unless it is life threatening immediatly....the pendalum is not in a good place.

@ walooet, you said

Fortunately, my teenager thinks drinking is stupid and not worth the money or the effect on her body - perhaps, after all, it is a good thing a lot of our extended family act like idiots when drinking...
this sounds a lot like our family too.....so far, so good....the kids these days have so much more on going on, but mine and their friends sure seem alot smarter than I was..here the real scoop on the funny..http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/in ... Am4f0j..It"s a French folk song called Alouette apparently about plucking geese. Not a very nice theme really...But there are actions too.

Alouette, gentille Alouette(do a chicken dance for next 4 lines)
Alouette je te plumerai
Alouette, gentille Alouette
Alouette je te plumerai
Je te plumerai la tête (Mime plucking feathers from the head)
Je te plumerai la tête
Et la tête, et la tête
Alouette, Alouette (Chicken dance)
O-o-o-o-oh
Alouette, gentille Alouette
Alouette je te plumerai

Repeat it for the next verses but change tete to either nez, les yeux, le cou, les ailes, le dos, le pattes and le queue.
