Wonderful to know, I enjoy The Keg, and it would be a good place to take the kids when they're a little older. :)

They have a great kids' menu too. It's a child friendly place. :bouncygreen

We went back to The Keg in Ajax yesterday. Another positive experience. The waitress was very attentive and understanding about the allergies in spite of being very busy. The manager came over to explain the food ingredients and guess what? He has food allergies too so he was doubly informed. You couldn't ask for a better person! :D

When we go to Toronto, we always go to the Keg. They treat our egg/milk allergic son like a king. He wishes we had one closer to home!
:thumbsup

That is wonderful May. So glad you found a great, safe place to eat. I'll remember that for when we travel to Toronto.

Just want to give the Keg another thumbs up for their great service this past week end. When I ordered and told the waitress that I had an allergy to pn/tn and shell fish she took note. A few min. later a kitchen manager came to talk to me about my order and said "that particular item I had requested did come in contact with some shell fish and could pose a problem for me. No prob I changed my order to something that had not allergy issues for me. A few min. later she came back just to double check if I also had an allergy to soy (I do not) she just wanted to make sure as she would not want to bring me anything that would be an issue. When I said thank you for double checking she said if they are ever unsure they would never guess they would just not serve an unsafe food. When it was time for the dessert menu she handed it to me telling me about two selections that would be fine for me. That is the kind of service I always wish for.
:thumbsup for the Keg.
