We just moved into a condo with an existing dishwasher that was used by the previous tenant. My son is severely allergic to milk, eggs & peanuts - would you feel safe using the dishwasher left behind or would you replace it?

If you would keep it any suggestions on how to clean it well enough to remove all allergens?

What dishwashing soap do you use?

Thanks so much!

I would first be sure the temps. are correct and it drains correctly. Older ones might not heat up enough or drain enough (rinse) to remove any previous food/allergens. If then you decided to use it I would look into a super duper cleaner to give it a once over. No idea as to what cleaner to use..sorry.
Great question Bens_advocate!!
