Today would have been Sabrina Shannon's 21st birthday. Sara Shannon announced this today at the AAIA walk in Mississauga. It was such an emotional moment to realise that her beautiful daughter would have been 21 years old today. Sara Shannon is such a brave, tireless and amazing woman to continue with her efforts to raise awareness about anaphylaxis. It must be so very difficult at times, but we all appreciate her efforts.

13 yr old son: allergic to peanuts, tree nuts, egg, fish, sesame, sunflower, mustard, poppy seeds, peas, carrots, some fruits, instructed to avoid legumes(except soy & green beans),pollen, cats, horses, cold urticaria

Thinking of Sabrina on what would have been her 22nd birthday...too many children in Canada are still NOT safe!

Daughter: asthma, allergies to egg, milk, peanuts, tree nuts, most legumes (not soy and green beans) & penicillin. Developing hayfever type allergies.
Husband: no allergies
