Here are my experiences:

Rousseau House in Ancaster - I give them a heads at least an hour before and they are very good about taking the necessary measures. Food is great.

Holts Cafe, Bloor: they have done a great job - I need 1 day notice so they can order in my special food.

Seasons in Oakville - they were very good about preparing my food - they needed no warning ahead of time.

Jack Astors - Whitby/Toronto: I had a great experience with one chef who was very accommodating but he was promoted and it wasn't the same. Other locations I have tried I did not feel well, could have been from the food smells. Won't go back.

Charcoal in Kitchener: Had problems with my meal - thought I was going to pass out - we left immediately. Contacted the restaurant the next day and they were not very accommodating or nice about it. Wanted to give us a free meal - we wanted them to learn some procedures and improve the conditions around persons with allergies. Won't go back.

Chigalls - Sheraton in Hamilton: Very good, no problems, the chef was great.

Casey's has been great. No problems there, no notice required. Different locations.

Kelseys couldn't keep it straight even with a basic salad.

I have allergies to fish/seafood/all nuts, intolerances to dairy/wheat/corn/other assorted foods.

Good to know. Will refer to this if we bring the kids to Toronto again.

I had a great experience at the Royal Ontario Museum's cafeteria last year! I plan on going there again this year.
