Quote:
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Ceasar Sanchez, 10, liked his time at the Boys and Girls Club of the Pikes Peak Region, but last week week, his mother pulled him out over a policy dispute.

The club told her that his EpiPen, which is used for allergic reactions, wasn't allowed.

Quote:
James Sullivan III, the director of the Boys and Girls Club, told TARGET 13 that the issue isn't just the safety of Ceasar, but that of all those who attend the club.

"You wouldn't want any child walking around with an EpiPen or any controlled substance; it's not much different from any school system," he said.
:banghead :banghead This story sure shows alot and the comments are very interesting as well.
When will everybody get that IF YOU WORK WITH CHILDREN, FIRST AID INCLUDING ANAPHYLAXIS TRAINING SHOULD BE MANDITORY YEARLY TRAINING :dungetit :verymad and not a voluntary law....what the hoo-ha? This whole thing is such a farce.

WOW!
I can't believe that a place dedicated to children would exclude a child just bc he needs an epipen! :banghead
I thoroughly enjoyed the comments below the article though :popcorn

Clearly, the Boys and Girls Club needs to get educated on Anaphylaxis and the ADA. :banghead
