I found some half size pita pockets at No Frills. There was no food allergy warnings on the packet so I called the company. The man said there were no sesame seeds in the facility.

Here's the website - not very information but there is a phone number and they do answer the phone quickly

In case you were looking for new ideas for summer picnics...

Site is still under construction. :scratchy

DH wanted to use these with dinner, but it's to late to call now, and info could have changed since previous posts.

I've just called Haddad bakery to confirm their ingredients for 2 items I've just purchased, and I feel confident enough to try them with my son. The ingredients listed are all that are in this plant. Another plant carries the pastries. There are no peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, or sesame in this plant (I did not ask about dairy - I should have! But those with dairy allergies should check because they look like the items might be safe). The items I've purchased are: Lebanese style white bread: flour, water, yeast, salt, calcium propionate. I also purchased White Mini Pitas: enriched white flour, filtered water, salt, yeast, calcium propionate. They also have (and I would like to try) Whole Wheat Mini Pitas and very large, thin, bread that can be used for wraps, and square flat breads. I am planning to use the Lebanese style white bread for pizzas (they are 9" rounds) and I'm going to use the mini pitas for stuffed pitas with veggies and cheese. I use an egg-free salad dressing to coat the veggies and cheese (Kraft creamy cucumber) which we all love. I am excited to find something with nice, pure ingredients - as close to homemade as you can get!
