This is a memorandum that was written to clarify the responsibility to the state agencies such as your state department of education. The USDA fully supports children with Life-Threatening Food Allergies under Section 504 and the Federal Regulations of the USDA. It is the responsibility of the State agency then to send it out to your local school districts.
