Hi! I have peanut, tree nut, and soy protein allergies. My sister in law just sent me some coffee from Seattle that brought up a question for me. The coffee she sent is unflavored but the back of one says it has hints of almond. Is coffee like wine with various undertones of flavors? Help please!

If your coffee is 100% coffee beans, it should be safe however, it could be contaminated in the grinding process. The safest thing to do is to contact the manufacturer and ask. There should be a 1-800 number or website that you can contact them thru. Give the UPC code as they can use this to determine the faciltiy etc. You'd be surprised to find that certain products are safe in one size but not another because they come from different factories and different production lines.

When in doubt, toss it out...or donate it to someone who can use it! Remember, it's the thought that counts. Stay safe! :)
