With our new e-NewsReport out, we're now over 1,700 letters.
Bravo, everyone. :banana

Allergic Living, AQAA and the rest of the advocacy team would love to hit 2,000 before Christmas - so everybody, please keep up those efforts to spread the news, e.g. tell friends, relatives who would be interested in sending a letter.

Reminder of the link to send around:

Let's make this law happen. What happened to little Megann is a highly preventable tragedy.

Montreal Gazette columnist did a great article on the weekend that highlights the training inconsistency and the need for a school law:

http://www.montrealgazette.com/health/A ... story.html

Of her own daughter, the writer writes:

Quote:
Last week, after reading the coroner's report into Megann's death, I went back to school to check her medication expiration dates and make sure her lunch monitors know how to use an EpiPen. I wasn't reassured to meet a new secretary who didn't know where the children's EpiPens are kept at school. The fact I visited that day means that she knows now.

Bump.
That story sounds so familiar to ours here, Gwen. This so needs to change.

OK gang - time to shake off the holiday lethargy, and crank this campaign into high gear. Let's get Megann's Law for Quebec! (And then, with luck, the idea will catch on and spread.)

We're at 1,962 letters. My challenge: how soon can we have 2,000 letters in the hands of the Quebec ministers of education and health?

Campaign link: http://allergicliving.com/petitions/quebec-schools/

And Quebeckers - notice that there is now a downloadable poster about Megann's Law and our campaign. Perfect for sending around to family, friends, fellow support group members and posting on blogs. Hey, why not paper your docs' office? What about giving one to the friendly pharmacist? Your allergist's office needs some, for sure.

Want the French poster? Just click for the French version of the campaign.

If everyone digs in and helps, we will succeed.

Thanks so much, everyone. :thanksign

You guys are amazing!

But let's keep it going... The politicians have got to start noticing these numbers.
