Talking Allergies

Has anyone discovered a website or blog with healthy dairy and egg free recipes? I have both the Allergy Mom and Divvies baking cookbooks and almost everything we've tried has been tasty, but they are both pretty heavy on the white flour and sugar. I usually just add 1/2 the white flour and sub whole wheat flour for the rest and same with brown sugar for the white sugar, but I'm a pretty novice baker and am not brave enough to experiment with much more than that. Oh, and the recipes don't necessarily have to be egg free (at least for baked goods), as she has passed her baked egg challenge; I've just been using the same cookbooks that I bought before she passed the challenge rather than buy new ones.

Beyond that, I use Google to look for vegan recipes or wartime cooking when many rations were in short supply. I end up making a cook book in my computer. Open a file for each section-it makes it easier to find.

Have you ever tried "Scandinavian Baking without Eggs"? Here you will also find healthy recipes without eggs and some of them are without diary too. Available in online stores and also as e-book.

I really like the FAAN cookbook.
Mostly though, I just go one line and search for the recipes I want.
If you set up a separate file for cookbook sections (breads, cakes etc) you can find what you want easily or even print it all out and keep on hand.

It's a great book! I've used mine quite a bit since I ordered it, and enjoyed everything we've made so far.
