Gosh, I hate reading the comments on these things....

It's hard to believe she didn't check the label. Starbucks had the item properly labelled, there's nothing more they could have done. I think it is a good reminder to check the ingredients EVERY time.

She may be a doctor, but I think she needs to tune into the Allergic Living magazine and/or website to get educated! I'm stunned that someone with her credentials would be so careless managing her allergy. I agree with Becky, Starbucks didn't do anything wrong.

I agree, rule #1...read the ingredients! I mean it was actually listed . All this does is emphasis and validate the belief many have that the allergic community is unreasonable and expecting preferential treatment when we are NOT...we just need adequate labeling and then we know not to eat what isn't safe.

I think she makes a good point that it is a reminder that we cannot get complacent and assume that a product is always safe at a chain. I know that my daughter does that and it is difficult to get her to always check...
