City of Ottawa, Ontario offered books of 10 coupons for children to use in exchange for swimming/skating at city run facilities between November 1 and January 13. At a cost of $10.00 per coupon book, it was a bargain. So much so that they are sold out!! I guess that shows there is a demand for alternatives to edible treats. :)

Great idea! I bought some Halloween pencils, erasers and little packages of stickers if kids would prefer those to candy. . . Those mini playdohs are good too!

I have put together loot bags that averaged 75 cents each by purchasing "magic paint" colouring pages, glow in the dark bracelets, squishy eyes etc. You can get a lot of stuff from dollar stores, craft stores or post Halloween sales. :swing
