Hi Folks
Now that my daughter has had a positive experience at a restaurant, she is interested in building on this....
Have any of you had positive (preferably recent) experiences in Toronto/Vaughan?
Would prefer to hear recommendations from this forum's readers vs. googling or other avenues.
If you do, please share by reply post or private message...
Hopeful thanks!

For a special occasion, I highly recommend EPIC at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto. You can read about our experience in the link below. We have been back three times since that write up and each time it has been fantastic with no issues.

Thanks Fiona! I had shown the post to my husband. My daughter is disappointed as we had actually planned to go there today (even though the chef has changed, they still have the protocols established under Tim in place). Logistically it is challenging as we are seeing a show - lunch is too early and dinner is too late!
We can't wait to try there :) Have you been to other Fairmonts?

Both the cafeteria and the restaurant at the ROM are allergen aware and should be able to accomodate your daughter's allergens. :D

Really??!!!
That would be amazing - we're members at the ROM.
Will certainly be checking it out!
Thanks for the recommendation Susan :)

We have been to two other Fairmont restaurants - Ottawa (for a two-day stay) and Barbados (for one dinner). The care taken at every meal for all locations was just exemplary. Of course given my son's long list of allergies, we always connect with the chef ahead of a visit and confirm meal options for him. In Ottawa, they went out of their way to make my son chicken wings (not even on the menu) and buy a special gelato that my son could have on the second night that we were there.
