These links via Twitter from Kyle Dine and Allergic Living. I'm shocked when the Mom says in the interview that she doesn't need to know what the trigger was, but I guess they'll probably never have that answer.

Completely devastating. I read about this in the Toronto Star this morning as well. So, so sad, I can't believe it.

13 yr old son: allergic to peanuts, tree nuts, egg, fish, sesame,sunflower,mustard,poppy seeds, peas, carrots, some fruits, instructed to avoid legumes(except soy & green beans),pollen, cats, horses, cold urticaria

My heart goes out to this family. Whether this was a food allergy or not, perhaps it will provide some awareness as to why we need extra epinephrine injectors in public places, especially schools.
