According to an AllergyMoms Community Member: "I was baking the King Arthur Flour GF Muffin Mix this morning and noticed that they have changed the ingredients...they now contain corn. We were ok with it, but some of those who like your page probably aren't. Here's the thing...the new box is EXACTLY the same and the only reason I noticed is that the recipe called for 1 cup of milk vs 3/4 cup of milk. (I compared the old and new boxes.) I'm used to companies redesigning the entire package when they change ingredients, so this one is hard to catch. People may also notice the batter is less runny and the muffins expand more. I just wanted to post...just in case...Thanks!"

I would not consider this Muffin Mix to be safe even without the added "cornstarch". Cellulose, Natural Flavor, Xanthan Gum, and the added vitamins would most likely ALL be made with/from corn.

INGREDIENTS:
SUGAR, WHOLE GRAIN BROWN
RICE FLOUR, POTATO STARCH, TAPIOCA STARCH,
CELLULOSE, LEAVENER (CALCIUM ACID PYRO-
PHOSPHATE, MONOCALCIUM PHOSPHATE, BAKING
SODA), NATURAL FLAVOR, SALT, CORNSTARCH,
XANTHAN GUM, NUTMEG, NIACINAMIDE (A B
VITAMIN), REDUCED IRON, THIAMIN HYDROCHLO-
RIDE (VITAMIN B1), RIBOFLAVIN (VITAMIN B2)

... and that is why I always refer those with corn allergies to you, Eldi.
You know your corn!
