Scottish archaeologist, 35, collapsed and died of a suspected peanut allergy

15 yr old daughter: no health issues
12 yr old son: allergic to peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, fish, sesame, sunflower, mustard, poppy seeds, green peas, some fruits, instructed to avoid all other legumes (except soy & green beans), pollen, cats, horses

It's so sad especially when somebody has assumed - or been told - it's a mild allergy.

Past reactions don't predict what will happen with the next one. If he'd carried epi, he'd likely be here today.

We think people are educated on FA, but clearly some distance to go.

There are far too many adults who think that their allergy is "only mild" and they don't have to be careful.
