My daughter may have chronic urticaria. She has had a few episodes of hives during exercise and occasionally wakes up feeling itchy or "yucky" if she has been overheated during the night. She has seen an allergist who feels it is not serious, but just for her to take antihistamines before exercise. I'm wondering if going on the pill would increase the reactions. Does anyone have personal experience with this, or have you read anything about it? She's living in a student ghetto apartment with little control over the temperature. yay.
