In doing some research on quinoa the other night, I came across this rather informative web page on the Ask Dr. Sears site. For anyone dealing with any kind of wheat or other grain allergy, it's chock-full of info.

Also helpful if you're just looking to put more variety into your "grain life"!

Thanks for the link. I'm somewhat reassured that millet ranks so high....the grains I'm eating right now are: rice, millet, tapioca. that's it.

I noticed that teff didn't make it on the list...I haven't tried teff, but I've thought about it. Also, El Peto manufactures this new type of grain that I've never heard of before...and can't remember the name of at the moment. They are promoting it in the Specialty Food Shop. It is *very* expensive.
