The patch, developed by Paris-based DBV Technologies, has proven effective in allowing test subjects to consume more of an allergen than they could before treatment.

Now a new study indicates that the Viaskin Peanut® patch is not just effective but that the method is also safe for those at risk of anaphylaxis.

Now underway: a clinical safety study of the patch at five centers in the United States.
